Nestled in the picturesque Derbyshire village of Tissington sits a candle maker’s workshop. On a Wick and a Prayer started in the kitchen of Annie and Ed Maudling, husband and wife team. Despite the best efforts of their dogs, those first candles turned out a success, and hair free. They’ve since continued to develop their range and whilst the company still has a workshop on the same site, they have also expanded and have premises in Ashbourne as well.
On a Wick and a Prayer’s main workshop is available to visit, and it’s location just inside the Peak District make it both easily accessible, yet still sufficiently scenic. Meet Annie and Ed and watch (from a safe distance) as the small, local team hand pours the waxes into the iconic On a Wick and a Prayer wax bar moulds.
On a Wick and a Prayer candles offer divine fragrances that are available in a number of sizes and formats. Their wax bars are an innovative way of bringing beautiful scents to your home and their China Garden range will bring a fresh look to your home.
